Our listing manager, Brenda MillerĀ has been a part of our teamĀ for 15 years andĀ has a strong connection to law enforcement as her husband – Randy Miller – is a retired police officer. Randy will be riding his bike overĀ 447 miles this week from Raleigh to Washington DCĀ to honor the service and sacrifice ofĀ his law enforcement colleagues and family members who have died in the line of duty.
Each May since 2009, Brenda’s husband Randy and his colleaguesĀ participate in an annual bicycle trek to Washington, DC. Team Raleigh of Law Enforcement United (LEU)Ā left the Raleigh MemorialĀ on May 6 and will ride 3 days to Chesapeake, VAĀ where they will meet up with the rest of LEUĀ groupsĀ to continue the last 3 days to DC. The routes total 447+ miles long.Ā The LEUĀ membership is also comprised of logistical support including motor escorts, medical staff, food, hotel, and transportation support team members who support each of these riders during the three day journey. The officers and survivors also ride to raise awareness of and provide monetary support to Concerns of Police SurvivorsĀ© (C.O.P.S.) and Officer Down Memorial PageĀ© (O.D.M.P.).
