Over recent years traffic to the Northern Part of Raleigh has dramatically increased. Large subdivisions such as Wakefield and Bedford at Falls River boast many amenities and have large populations. However, the roads have been very slow and the traffic normally backs up during normal work commute times.
Thankfully, the City of Raleigh is nearing completion on a two phase expansion of the Falls of Neuse Road. According to the City of Raleigh Falls of Neuse Realignment website page all construction should be finished this spring and you cancertainly tell it by the amount of progress that has been made in recent weeks! Traffic for the neighboring communities should dramatically decrease and commute times will be a lot shorter in the coming weeks. Hang in there – it is going to get better soon!
